Cameo

Young Nimoy
Fandom: ACD canon
Beta: notboldly
Brit- and Victoriana-picker: tweedisgood
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Holmes/Watson

Cameo

Elegy for a Lost Boy

intenselock
Gen: Holmes family fic
Word count: ~700
Rating: None
Disclaimer: Property of Gatiss and Moffat. No money made, no copyright infringement intended.

Summary: I taught both my boys to appreciate formula and exactitude — expression is messy, expression is trite, expression is boring. What could I possibly say on a day like today? That no parent should ever bury her child is as insulting as it is obvious, and my dears, I abhor the obvious.

Elegy for a Lost Boy

Thirty-Two Years

intenselock
Beta/Brit Pick: the_physicist
Pairings: Mycroft/Mr. Norbury's daughter, background Sherlock/John
Word count: ~4,300
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: brief mentions of sex between a sixteen-year old and an eighteen year-old; reference to miscarriage
Disclaimer: Property of Gatiss and Moffat. No money made, no copyright infringement intended.

A/N: One more Embers coda. This exists because Ainsley appeared for 500 words in Centuries of Nerve and promptly gave me headcanon.

When Mycroft Holmes lost his virginity at age sixteen to the groundskeeper’s rough-hewn daughter while home from Eton for the summer, it came as rather a surprise.

Thirty-two years in an unconventional romance.

An Affinity for Lignin

Sherlock No
Beta/Brit Pick: the_physicist
Pairing: Sherlock/John
Word count: ~2,600
Rating: Teen
Disclaimer: Property of Gatiss and Moffat. No money made, no copyright infringement intended.

A/N: Just an extraneous little Embers coda. The series is complete without it, and if you prefer not to read shameful, shameful wooden baby fic, you can just stop right here.

This story is will induce a diabetic coma in all who read it. I can't be responsible for the hospital bills.

An Affinity for Lignin

A Symphony of Chemical Reactions

Title: A Symphony of Chemical Reactions
Beta: sweetestdrain
Brit Pick: the_physicist
Pairing: Sherlock/John
Word count: ~2,300
Rating: Teen
Disclaimer: Property of Gatiss and Moffat. No money made, no copyright infringement intended.

A/N: This was written for unovis_lj during the June 2012 Holmestice exchange.

Summary: Cooking’s just chemistry and time management.

Blame the Trees

intenselock
Beta: sweetestdrain
Brit-picker: fear3loathing
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Holmes/Watson
Warnings: Homophobia, Victorian sexual mores
Word Count: 8,300

Summary: Watson moves back into Baker Street after the events of "The Empty House" only to discover Holmes has been keeping secrets.

A/N: This is a gift for cathedralcarver, who had a hankering after some ACD slash. Hope you like it, friend! Big thanks to fear3loathing for the Brit-picking pinch hit!

Brit-pickins?

intenselock
I’m gonna need a Brit-picker for an ACD Holmes/Watson I’m doing because RL is killing my usual guy. I hope to be done with it (probably very, very late) tonight, in the morning GMT. It’ll be under 10,000 words but possibly over 8,000. I’m hoping it doesn’t need much, but it wouldn’t hurt to have someone give it a looksee. Ideally I’m looking for someone quick because I’m impatient like that, and I’d like to have this up and posted sometime tomorrow, assuming my finishing time table goes as planned (it may not).

Can anyone help a fic writer out?

Fic squee!

confusedlock

One of my very favorite authors in both Sherlock and Star Trek fandoms, garryowen/dogpoet, has written a WONDERFUL remix of my fic, Battle Stratagem for the Domesticated British Male, from the perspective of both 221s. You should go read it and leave some love!

Title: I, 221

Rating: Teen

Pairing: Sherlock/John

Word Count: 4,300

Summary: I’m something like a skull, housing the minds of my people — their voices, their thoughts, their sadnesses, and their joys.

-

This is such a gorgeous exploration of domestic space, how 221 feels about being inhabited by our heroes, how 221 marks, feels, and mourns the passage of time. With skill and ease, Garryowen deepens the story I wrote, and I am in awe.

Warnings: possible future incest if you squint
Word Count: 2600

Summary: When Odin places his Jötunn foundling in Frigga's arms, she knows what is to come.

Free stuff

inappropriate TOS touching
I previously read and did reviews of Kissing Sherlock Holmes and My Dearest Holmes. I would like someone to take these off my hands - I'll send them for free to anyone in the continental US or Canada. Outside of those places, I'll check shipping rates, and we can work something out via PayPal for shipping costs only. I would rather send them as a set than to two separate places. I feel compelled, however, to reiterate that I think Kissing Sherlock Holmes is one of the very worst wastes of time I have ever committed myself to - I would rather someone know my assessment of it beforehand than to get it, be disappointed, and somehow find a way to blame me for this blight. My Dearest Holmes comes with no such caveat.

So, if someone wants both of these books, comment here or PM me. The first person who expresses interest will get the books, and we'll work out address details privately. I'll give LJ folks first crack at it, but if I can't rustle up a recipient here I'll put this up on Tumblr later.

Chinese translations and accompanying art!

confusedlock
I am the luckiest fanfic writer in the world! Two lovely translators asked me for permission to translate "Battle Stratagem for the Domesticated British Male" and "Practical Johnkeeping" into Chinese, and of course I was honored and overjoyed. So, here are the links, with bonus art!

Battle Stratagem for the Domesticated British Male, translated by twilight_s, with GORGEOUS art by Venne.

You guys, I am so excited about this. Old man love!

Thanks so much!

I have been terribly remiss and an ungrateful ass to be so late in expressing my thanks, but thanks so much to notboldly, arminaa, the_physicist, nix_this, macaronielbow, and rae1013 for the wonderful v-gifts for Valentine's Day, my birthday, and, occasionally, no particular day at all. I am beyond delighted! Thanks so much, y'all - I appreciate it more than you know.

Pairing: Sherlock/John
Word Count: ~5,300
